The Dubai Urban Tech District project, initiated by URB in 2022, aims to establish the world’s largest urban tech hub. Located in Al Jaddaf along Dubai Creek, construction is set to begin in 2025, spanning 140,000 square meters and targeting completion by 2030. The district will create 4,000 jobs in green urban tech, house an Urban Tech Institute and provide facilities for research, training and business incubation while achieving net-zero carbon goals.

Onaya Consulting joined the project in 2023 to support a subcontractor during the pre-construction phase. We conducted market research to align their offerings with project goals, focusing on sustainable construction methods and smart technologies. Our team developed strategies to integrate net-zero practices, such as solar farms and energy management systems, and identified innovative urban technologies like IoT applications and renewable energy solutions.

Our services were instrumental in helping the subcontractor secure a significant role in the project by delivering strategic guidance and tailored insights that aligned with the Urban Tech District’s vision of innovation and sustainability.
